The Swords Into Plowshares Gallery and Peace Center is Southeast Michigan's unique location for peace and justice related art exhibits as well as a location for a number of peace-related events. The Gallery also has a gift shop featuring books, cards and artwork that can be purchased. 

The Gallery is open 12 noon to 4pm on Thursdays and Saturdays

Current & Upcoming Gallery Exhibits & Events...

Upcoming Fall-Winter 2015-2016 Events

  • September 26 through December 5 - Art4Detroit3 - This exhibit brings together an eclectic mix of local artists whose work celebrates the City of Detroit. Held in conjunction with Hands4Detroit, this invitational show shines a positive light on the City and its people. 

  • November 14th (Saturday) – Holiday Mart Shop for a Cause - 10am - 3pm - Local Area non-profits, including Peoples’ World; NSO; Con Vida – Cuadros from Peru; Citizens for Peace; Guatemalan handicrafts; the Small World Shop and a host of locally produced goods will present unique items to begin or finish your holiday shopping.

  • January 23rd (Saturday) - Opening – "Art from Our Attic" exhibit

  •  March 5th (Saturday) – "Art from Our Attic" exhibit closes

  • March 19 - Visions Of Peace Opening - "Visions Of Peace" exhibit - 1pm​

  • March 19 though May 14 - "Visions of Peace" exhibit - Features the art of children K-12 as they reflect on the United Nations Proclamation on the Rights of the Child
